Kylie Jenner slammed for wearing ‘lion’s head’ at fashion show: ‘Animals aren’t fashion’

Kylie Jenner has been slammed after sharing images on Instagram of herself at a fashion show where she is wearing a giant lion’s head.

Jenner, 25, recently came out and declared that she had “saggy t**s and baby blues” after giving birth to her second child with Travis Scott.

Although receiving support from fans for her struggles after giving birth, it appears that the model has angered some after a poor choice of clothing at a fashion show.

Hitting the runway at Schiaparelli ss23, Jenner wore a black dress which by itself would have looked great – but the designers decided to add a giant lion head on the front.

The 25-year-old said in her post: “BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. thank you @danielroseberry and @schiaparelli for such a special morning. wow i loved wearing this faux art creation constructed by hand using manmade materials. beautiful beautiful.”

Despite revealing that the lion was (thankfully) faux, it still hasn’t sat well with some fans as they claim it breeds an environment where animal cruelty is viewed as okay.

Per reports, 600 lions are killed by poachers in Africa each year, with some hunters paying an extraordinary fee to fly in from all around the world to kill the animals and use them as trophies.

So, naturally, when it appears a celebrity is making light of the horrific practices, said celebs are bound to receive a certain amount of negative attention.

One viewer said: “Might not be real but still doesn’t sit right if you are an animal lover,” with a second adding: “Seriously ?! What’s wrong with you guys? That’s is going to far in my opinion [sic].”

A third person summed up their thoughts: “Awful. A lions head is not a fashion statement! Actually makes me feel a bit sick,” and a fourth concluded: “Animals aren’t fashion.”

Jenner did receive some support, claiming that because the lion’s head is fake those who are angry are blowing everything out of proportion.

But as a self-proclaimed “animal lover” due to her large number of pets, it certainly feels a bit tone-deaf to use the head of a widely hunted animal as a fashion statement.

Not only that, but the whole thing looks incredibly heavy and just not very practical, so it’s hard to believe that wearing the heads of animals will become mainstream fashion unless we find ourselves in a post-apocalyptic world.

Jenner is yet to respond to the negative comments she has received based on the look.
